In my opinion this was the biggest and most surprising thing out of e3 2009. Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy 14 (before the release of Final Fantasy 13 mind you). Final Fantasy 14 will be the successor to Final Fantasy XI Online. From the trailer, it looks like it may remain in Vana’diel. Ironically, I began to play Final Fantasy XI once again. I must say the game has improved a great deal and I’m enjoing it. My jaw dropped to the floor when I heard about the next MMO follow up.  So far, the game will be released on the PS3 and the PC.
